Scholarships have been established to encourage the pursuit of academic excellence and recognise students' academic achievement. Set up by funding from the University and donations from various organisations and civic-minded individuals, these scholarships are granted on the basis of academic merit, personal qualities and contribution to the community, amongst other factors.

Entrance Scholarships and Other Scholarships

The University offers a wide range of entrance scholarships to attract aspiring, high-quality students with outstanding academic and non-academic achievements to join our undergraduate programmes and to encourage and support them to develop their talents to their full potential.

(for full-time Government funded undergraduates)
Full Scholarship: $90,000 p.a. (renewable)

(for current year HKDSE student with the highest score who fulfil the requirements of the Tuition Scholarship)
Tuition Scholarship: $42,100 p.a. (renewable)

(for current year HKDSE students with admission score of 24 or above in any best 5 subjects, and at least a level 4 plus a level 5 in Chinese Language and English Language)
EdUHK Entrance Scholarship for Non-Chinese Speaking Local Students

(for full-time undergraduates; please refer to the EDB for the definition of NCS students)
Half-tuition Scholarship: $21,050 p.a. (renewable)

(for current year HKDSE non-Chinese speaking students with admission score of 20 or above in any best 5 subjects)
EdUHK Entrance Scholarship for Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education $15,040 p.a. (renewable)

(for local students from the JUPAS route who choose HD(ECE) as their final Band A choice, attain 20 points or above in any best 5 HKDSE subjects and attain level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language. Students with the same academic ability will be considered on the basis of their performance at admission interview.)
