Personal Information Collection and Use Statement
EdUHK is committed to protecting your personal information provided to us and will abide by the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. It is mandatory for you to provide us with the personal data marked with asterisks in the online forms including but not limited to your name, email address, telephone number, address and/or school for the following purposes:
(1) To send you promotional emails on the latest updates of our University, programmes, admissions and events;
(2) To process your registration / participation in our events and send you email and / or SMS notifications related to the events;
(3) To respond to, handle and process any enquiries submitted by you; and
(4) To facilitate communications between you and us.
If you do not supply the required personal data, we may not be able to provide you with the requested services listed above.
Your personal information may be transferred or shared with “other unit(s)” of EdUHK to fulfill the above purposes. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties, such as website contractors, cloud service providers, or event agents, etc., who assist us in the operations of our website, emails, events, database, etc.
The personal data collected will only be kept for three years or until the enrolment year of the students, whichever is earlier. You have the right to request access to and correction of information held by us about you. If you wish to access or correct your personal data, please send us an email (admission@eduhk.hk). 香港教育大學承諾遵守《個人資料(私隱)條例》並致力保障閣下向我們提供之個人資料。閣下必須在網上表格帶有星號的位置提供個人資料,資料不限於姓名、電郵地址、電話、地址及 / 或學校名稱。閣下提供的個人資料將被用作以下用途:
(1)發送推廣電郵通知閣下有關教大、本校課程、入學和活動的最新資訊;
(2)處理活動報名 / 參與及發送有關活動的電郵及 / 或短訊通知;
(3)回覆、應對及處理閣下的查詢;及
(4)促進大學與閣下的溝通。
若閣下不提供所需的個人資料,我們可能無法為閣下提供上述要求的服務。
我們亦可能將閣下的個人資料傳送至本校其他部門,以便向閣下提供服務。我們絕不會向大學以外其他組織出售、交換或轉移閣下的個人資料,不過此並不包括可信頼的第三方,例如我們的網頁承辦商、雲端服務提供者或活動代理等,協助我們處理網頁、電郵、活動及資料庫等運作。
