EdUHK Student Ambassador Programme

The EdUHK Student Ambassador Programme enhances the university experience of non-local students while empowering a group of elite ambassadors to authentically represent EdUHK. All ambassadors are non-local students who have been awarded entrance scholarships, and they bring diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives from around the world. Through sharing their experiences and promoting the University’s programmes, they play a key role in strengthening EdUHK’s global presence and engagement.

Benefits and Opportunities

The student ambassadors will benefit from opportunities to broaden their horizons and develop valuable skills beyond the classroom. Through training sessions and participation in a variety of activities, they will enhance their presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, while also building confidence and expanding their global network.

Roles and Responsibilities

The student ambassadors will play an important role in representing EdUHK and engaging with prospective students through a range of activities, including:

  • Building connections between EdUHK and their alma mater.
  • Assisting with major recruitment events such as Info Day.
  • Sharing their EdUHK stories: Create engaging content—such as write-ups and short videos—to showcase your EdUHK experience to a global audience.

Serving as a student ambassador has connected me with peers from diverse backgrounds worldwide, enriching my cultural understanding and broadening my global perspective. Workshops organised by the Registry have further sharpened my public speaking skills, particularly in body language and improvisation. These experiences have significantly boosted my confidence and eloquence, enabling me to communicate more effectively in a wide range of public settings.

Through the Student Ambassador Programme, I participated in public speaking and psychological first aid training workshops, which helped me build confidence and improve my communication skills. I also learned how to listen empathetically and support others in a caring way. These experiences were meaningful for my personal growth and are very relevant to my future aspirations in psychology and early childhood education.

The Student Ambassador Programme has provided a range of fascinating workshops that genuinely helped me gain valuable insights and practical skills. Public Speaking training enhanced my ability to engage audiences and boost my confidence during presentations, while the Mobile Video Filming & Editing Workshop expanded my knowledge of video production. In addition, the Psychological First Aid Workshop provided essential knowledge that can help support others or even save someone's life.

Through the Student Ambassador Programme, I have gained valuable knowledge and built meaningful friendships with peers from different countries. One of the most memorable experiences was the public speaking activity in the first semester, where we actively engaged in discussions and explored how body language and gestures can enhance communication and help convey ideas more effectively. Overall, the programme’s true value lies in bringing together students of diverse nationalities, allowing us to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and grow together.
