課程介紹
本課程重點關注大灣區和亞洲新興經濟體的發展需求，使學生具備相應的知識及技能以創造具廣泛社會影響力的職業發展途徑。社會創業是現代社會經濟最重要的組成部分之一。在一個急劇變化的社會，正是社會企業家運用創新性思路，為複雜的社會問題提供創新性解決方案。
具體而言，該課程旨在 (一) 為學生提供全面的社會創業體驗，帶領他們從最初的理念醞釀直至為投資者設計具吸引力的業務投資方案；(二) 使學生能夠取得持份者信任與支持，管理社會創投及擴大其社會影響力；(三) 提升學生對大灣區社會轉型動態發展的理解，並讓學生從比較的角度加深對地區發展的認識；(四) 鞏固學生的學術和專業基礎，讓他們成為社會企業、政府或非政府組織、企業，本地、國家、國際協會和組織的專業人士，以及使他們將來在學術領域及職場上盡展所長。

註：
(1) 課堂將會安排於大埔校園及將軍澳教學中心／北角教學中心／白石角運動中心 / 九龍塘衛星教學中心進行。實際的上課地點由大學決定。
(2) 獲取錄入讀本課程的學生必須前往大灣區及/或內地其他城巿考察。課程亦可能要求學生參加非本地學習體驗，以完成課程。雖然有關考察團將獲大學資助，學生仍須承擔及繳付考察團的部份預算費用(“學生繳費部份”)。然而，任何個人娛樂、膳食開支、旅遊證件及個人保險之費用將不獲資助，並須由學生自費支付。受各種因素影響，如考察團成本上調、考察行程所需時間、旅程開銷、貨幣匯率等，大學尚未能確定並提供下學年入學學生的考察團團費預算費用及學生繳費部份費用詳情。
實習 / 海外學習機會
200小時工作實習計劃旨在幫助學生將課程所學習到的知識和技能融入至真實生活。學生需要在實習過程中進行反思，並就各項社會議題進行分析。學生透過在公私營或非牟利機構進行實習，培養社會責任感，拓寬全球視野，亦為學生未來職業發展做好準備。
就業前景 / 專業認可
透過課程實務訓練，協助對社會創投有興趣的學生獲取由政府及商界提供的資助機會。畢業生將可加入社會企業、政府、社會責任機構及非政府組織，擔任項目或行政主任。現時，香港大約80%的社會服務由社會企業及非政府組織提供。這類組織往往需透過公共或私人來源獲取資源並與不同持份者作有效溝通。畢業生將找到充足的就業機會。

教大為正在追尋夢想的我們打開機會之門。學校舉辦的教育+與社會企業家基金計劃，為我們提供種子基金去創業。我期待能夠充分運用這些資源，在未來開展自己的生意。

I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to participate in the BSocSc(SEDS) Mentorship Programme. During the Mentorship Programme’s meetings, my mentor, Mr. Marshall Jen, patiently addressed my various questions regarding a prominent topic in society – “family office”. In addition to our meetings, Marshall also arranged different visits for us. The most unforgettable experience was participating in an RTHK programme called “Nova Management”, where we had the honour of engaging in a dialogue with Mr Jacky Leung, the founder of the Royal Family Office and Professor Chan Chi Fai, the Dean of the Greater Bay Area Business School. Such experiences not only encouraged me to think outside the box but also provided a more comprehensive understanding of family office. All in all, the mentorship programme deepened my professional knowledge as well as provided me with invaluable support from esteemed industry leaders.

社會創業與發展研究榮譽社會科學學士課程學生
I am delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with the BSocSc(SEDS) Programme Leader, Dr Echo Shang, on the project called the “SEW Changemakers Initiative”, which allowed us to utilize the design-thinking framework to develop fun and interactive solutions that can bring positive change to our EdUHK campus. For the pilot year, we have come up with a board game concept to help reduce stress on campus and provide students with an opportunity to relax, connect with friends, and find their inner child again. From inception to execution, we manage to understand the entire cycle of creating social innovation and the challenge of making a sustainable social impact. This initiative allowed us to expand our creative thinking and problem-solving skills while also helping us to explore our ability to become social entrepreneurs.
