課程目標
學員修畢本課程後，應能：
- 認識非華語幼兒與家庭就學習中文所面對的挑戰以及已有的經驗；
- 闡述教授非華語幼兒中國語文相關的社會文化覺識，包括中國語文的學與教理論、文化回應理論；
- 運用多元的教學策略與技巧，加強對非華語幼兒的中國語文教學；
- 應用專業知識，設計與制定校本課程中為非華語幼兒而設的中國語文教學活動；
- 認識與運用社會、互聯網或市場上的教學資源，為非華語幼兒學習中國語文建立共融學習環境。
課程結構
本課程為三十九小時的課程，其內容等同三學分的課程。課程大綱如下：
- 促進學員探討幼兒學習說話與書寫中國語文的挑戰，以及他們已有的家庭與生活經驗；
- 討論社會文化覺識、文化回應理論、雙語與多語言理論等，以此探討非華語幼兒中國語文教學的實踐；
- 提升學員為多語言、多文化幼兒制定校本教學活動的能力；
- 為學員提供專業知識交流與分享的機會，以此支援非華語幼兒學習中國語文。
教學語言
本課程以中文（粵語）授課。

本課程每學年開辦三期，上課日期（共五天）暫定為：

入學條件
申請人須：
- 為現職學前教育機構註冊教師、課程統籌、學校領導、校長（具非華語幼兒教學經驗尤為適合）；及
- 獲任教學校校長推薦；
- 遞交申請時同時上截「個人陳述」，簡要說明對本課程期望的申請人將會獲優先考慮。
證書頒授
學員必須於所有評核習作中獲得及格成績，並達到課程所要求的出席率，方可獲頒授畢業證書。
成功修畢在職教師專業進修課程之學員，在報讀本校研究生課程時，可申請學分轉移。本校將按情況個別考慮申請。
